Intern John Radio of The Kane Show and DJ Tommy Gatz Visited the Fisher House Foundation in Tampa, Florida

Intern John, a star of Hot 99.5’s The Kane Show, and DJ Tommy Gatz of Tommy Gatz Entertainment recently visited the Fisher House Foundation in Tampa, Florida while they were in town for a stop on the “Look What You’ve Done” Comedy Show Tour at The Palladium.

Both the “Look What You’ve Done” and “Peer Pressure” Comedy Show Tours were created by Intern John to raise money for the Fisher House Foundation, which assists military families while their loved ones are being hospitalized due to an injury or illness, as well his friend Mimi. Intern John’s friend Mimi joined the military and shortly after was diagnosed with cancer. She received aid from the foundation after having her leg amputated. Overall, more than $23,000 was raised from all the comedy tours combined, for the Fisher House Foundation, Mimi and her family. A check was presented after the Florida trip during the show at Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. The check was presented by Intern John’s friend Mimi along with Intern John and Kane. Everyone who participated in the shows were ecstatic for how much was raised.

Visiting the facilities in Florida was a powerful, humbling experience for Tommy and he was thrilled that he was able to experience it. Tommy started out assisting Intern John with his DJ services, photography and cinematography but eventually became a host alongside Intern John and The Kane Show, and helped produce the shows. He is so thankful for Intern John including him and will forever be glad that he was able to be a part of such a wonderful cause!
